Exploring Ideologies in Primary English Textbook (SNC-2020): A Critical Discourse Analysis

چکیده

This research aims to investigate the various ideologies embedded within language of primary English textbooks (SNC-2020) grades (1-3). It also inquires supportive role these for children in process get an education. is qualitative research, data collected from The latent content analysis under theoretical framework 3D CDA Modal (Fairclough, 2001) reveal ethical and Pakistani cultural themes. findings show prominent themes are ethics home school, discipline attitude good manners follow culture Pakistan. sophisticated positive social, educational institutions reflects values as feature productive social being. Moreover, critical discourse uncovers different ideologies. These reflect scheduled because they shown help poor, share things, respect elders, be punctual honest, keep cleanliness, does homework, save resources, play study side by side. Consequently, this facilitates education idea at along with following activities. future researcher may explore linguistic teach four skills language.
